The goal of this site is to help support, inspire, and provide resources to compassionate activists, and hopefully the blog will help to do that as well. But the blog writings also represent my thoughts and ongoing process as I work with my own feelings around the current state of things in the United States and the world. In doing so, I'm not trying to hold myself up as some great model of compassion or compassionate activism - doing so wouldn't be at all genuine (because I'm no great model of anything), and wouldn't allow me the psychological freedom I need to be able to write. So if you spend time here, it's likely you'll come across things that don't seem so "compassionate," and that you don't agree with. In reading, I'd encourage you to take what is useful to you, leave the rest, and share your thoughts if you feel so moved.
